Reception held in honor of Russell Bell and wifeMR. AND MRS. RUSSELL BELLwere favored with corsages ofAn open reception was held Nov. 2 at the K of C Hall, Franklin, for Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bell of Oil City RD 1 on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary. The couple resided most of their married life at Fertigs and for the past two years made their home on Riverside Drive.The party was hosted by the couple’s 11 children: Charles, George of Oil City, Robert, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Adelsperger of Marculles, N.Y., Thomas, Agnes Hart of Hartford, Conn., Mrs. Charles (Rose Marie) Rhoades of Venus, Carl, Mrs. Harold (Leona) Culp of Mercer, William and Clarence of Oil City. The Bells have 24 grandchildren.A ruby theme including floral arrangements and candles highlighted the decorations. A money tree was featured Music and dancing were enjoyed during the evening.Approximately 200 guests were served a buffet luncheon catered by Collage Inn, Pleasantville.Denise Culp, a granddaughter, was in charge of the guest book.Mrs. Bell and the daughtersred roses. Mr. Bell and sons were presented boutonnieres of white flowers. The honorees were recipients of many lovely gifts.Mr. Bell of Rimersburg and the former Etheleen Fagley were married Nov. 7, 1934 in Lucinda. Mr. Bell is retired from the Pennsylvania StateHighway Department. Mr. Bell enjoys hunting and fishing with his sons. Mrs. Bell spends much time in her kitchen cooking and baking.Guests attended from Hubbard, Niles and Warren, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Mercer, New Bethlehem, Parker, Petrolia, Emlenton, Mars, East Brady and New Kensington.
