Winters Man, J.W.Aiey, Dies at HomeWINTERS, Nov. 27 lt;RNS) - .T. \V. (Pete) Aley, 44. died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday at his home here. He had been ill since May.Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. B. T. Shoemake, pastor, officiating. The body will lie in state at the American Legion Hall until time for services.Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery with Spill Funeral Home in charge.Mr. Aley was born May 16. 1910 at Pumphrey, where he was reared. He had farmed and worked at a gin here until he was forced to retire by ill health last spring.He married Miss lrmal Sowell Jan. 12. 1931. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Aley, pioneer Pumphrey residents. His fatherdied in 1926.He is survived by his wife; a son, J. W. Aley Jr. of the home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Aley, Winters; five sisters, Mrs. Ben Williams, Pumphrey; Mrs. Tennie Puckett and Mrs. Tom Puckett, both of Ahilene; Mrs. John Puckett, Winters, and Mrs. Vernie Summers, Hobbs, N. M.; six brothers, Elmer of Dublin, Robert of Refugio. Jack of Midland, Richard of Big Spring. Sam of Abilene and Roy of San Angelo.Pallbearers include Riley Marks, Ruck Cummings, Clifford Huffman, Bede England, John D. Easterly, Leon Daniels. Claude Tatum and Victor White.
