mmSerafin/50 yearsTed T. and Helen A.Serafin of 108 Wabash Ave., Oil City, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.They were honored at a party Oct. 11 in The Arlington Hotel, hosted by their children.The former Helen Schoonover and Ted Serafin were harried Nov. 26, 1953, in Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Oil City, by Father Kaltenbach.Mrs. Serafin is the daughter of the late Orville T. and Meredith Palm Schoonover. Mr.Serafin is the son of the late Martin P. and Mary Siembida Serafin.Their children are Mary Jane and Bob Wiethe of Durham,N.C., John Serafin and Tom Serafin, both of Oil City, and Ted Serafin and wife, Tracie, of Fort Myers, Fla.They also have three grandchildren.Ted and Helen SerafinMrs. Serafin is retired fromVenango Newspapers while her husband is a retired Oil City police officer.
