In a statement issued in connection with the death of President Kennedy, Kerner said:“All the world should cry at this loss. We have lost our President and the free world has lost its leader. He was a great humanitarian and one of the noble men of our times The task now for all Americans is to rally behind our new leader—Lyndon B.
