Mrs. John Powell Dies at Richmond.Mrs. Rebecca Leigh Powell, widow of Mr. John H. Powell,died at an early hour yesterday morning at her home, 111 east Gary street, Richmond, aged 63 years. She was the daughter of Judge Thomas Leigh, of Halifax, and had lived in Richmond for 30 years, during which time her husband was principal of the Powell School and the Richmond Female Seminary. She leaves three daughters (Mrs. J. Smith Brockenbroughand Mrs. William R. Williams, of Richmond, and Mrs. Shirley Garter, of Norfolk.) Another daughter, Mrs. Sarah P. Coleman, of Pittsylvania, died last Thursday. Mrs. Powell was widely known in Winchester. Her husband was a near relative of several Winchester families.
