EbersolesCelebrate60th YearLA VERNE — When Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Ebersole celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with all their nine children, the reception was held at the Fountains Mobile Home Park on North Damien Avenue in La Verne. Fifty-nine years ago the couple, married one year established their home in a citrus grove within a few hundred feet of that very spot from where the park now stands.Until a few years ago, when the property was sold, the Ebersoles lived on Foothill Boulevard. They had their house moved to the Damien address where if is just south of the gate into The Fountains Mobile Home Park.Both Mr. and Mrs. Ebersole came to La Verne as young people and have lived here since. Several of their children and families live nearby.Residing in La Verne is a son, Lynn, and two daughters, Mrs. Olivene Flora and Mrs. Clara Mae Flora. Another daughter, Mrs. Mary Holmes, lives in San Dimas. There are four other son’s, Ray, Pomona; Elvin, Covina*- Dale, near Fresno, and Elmer J*., Canby. Their daughter Mrs. Esther McGill resides in Baltimore, Md.All were present for the reception along with manygrandchildren and great-grandchildren.
