Mr. And Mrs. William Moroz Observe Golden AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. William Moroz of Dauphin observed their golden wedding anniversary on Tuesday, Nov. 21.In their honor the family hosted a party to more than 200 relatives and friends on Sept. 21 at the Ukrainian Catholic Eleventh avenue hall, when Mr. and Mrs. Moroz were escorted to the hall by Mr. and Mrs. Walter Yas-eniuk of Trail. BC, and Mrs. Dora Ozymok of Toronto. Fred Moroz greeted the couple at the hall in the Ukrainian tradition with bread and salt and gave the blessing.Mrs. Ozymok pinned on a corsage and boutonniere and the youngest daughter, Mrs, Florence Korzenowski, presented them with matched gold bands. W. Sklepowich acted as master of ceremonies for the anniversary.Paul Kokolski led in prayer and later proposed the toast to the honored couple.Following the dinner the couple received many gifts and telegrams which were read by Mrs.i Ozymok. They came from relatives from points in Ontario and the United States who were unable to attend.YcccttJlIMrs. Hrehirchuk presented the couple with a plaque on behalf of the Women’s Catholic league. Mrs. Alex Maksymetz read an address to her parents and thanked all who were present. Patrick Moroz, grandson of the honored couple, presented them with the CKDM scroll as Citizens of the Day. Walter Yaseniuk brought the program to a close with a jovial address. The evening was spent i in dancing.IMr. and Mrs. Moroz were married Nov. 21, 1917. They farmed for a few years in Venlaw, then moved to Hudson Bay Junction, Sask. In 1924 they moved to Thor-old, Ont., and in 1934 the family moved to Gilbert Plains where they farmed until their retirement to Dauphin in 1955.Mr. and Mrs. Moroz have four daughters and three sons, Mrs. Alex Maksymetz (Anne), of Venlaw; Mrs. Walter Yaseniuk (Margaret), of Trail BC; Mrs. John Sawchuk (Jeanne), of Dauphin;Mrs. Edward Korzenowski (Florence), of Atikokan, Ont.; Mike of Long Lac, Ont.; John and Peter of Dauphin.
