Henry Culp Perfects Device WhichMay Revolutionize Burial Methods.Henry Culp has just finished a new casket and burying device which he says will entirely change the present method of interring the dead. The ap paratus consists of a casket which has all the outward appearance of the ordinary coffin but which has no bottom. Inside this supported by a lowering device hangs a raetal or inner casket in which the body is placed. A pair of collapsible legs support the entire affair. When the casket is placed over the grave, which need not be near as large as they are now dug, the metal part is lowered into I he grave and into a bed of specially prepared cement. The entire box is then covered with the cement, which hermetically seals it and makes it water proof. Authorities say that a body if properly embalmed will last for hundreds of years if buried in this manner. The cost of burial will in this manner only amount to about one-third the present cost as only the metal inner casket has to be bought, the undertaker retaining the outer casing. Mr. Culp lias applied for a patent and will begin the manufacture of the casket as soon as he receiver it.
