SVHS Students To Present Three-Act PlayThe Star Valley High School Drama Department will present the three-act comedy, “Time Out For Ginger” on Friday, Dec.6 in the high school auditorium.According to Ben Canning, drama director, the cast and crew are working hard to prepare a delightful evening of entertainment for parents, friends and students.The story, by Ronald Alexander, concerns a family life situation in which the three daughters become involved in high school activities, and even attempt to join the school football team, Mr. Canning reported.The cast includes Mike Ash-ment, Helen Schwab, Lynette Bateman, Connie Welch, Gayle Dana, Pamela Jenkins, Brian Pead, Richard Hunsaker, and Edwin Walker.SVHS Debaters AttendMeet at Rock SpringsA group of Star Valley High School debaters traveled to Rock Springs last week to compete in the Western Wyoming Junior College Invitational Speech Meet, and compiled a three win, one loss record.Students making the trip were Curt Call, Bill Hastings, Dan Wilkes, Joanna Hepworth, Trudy Brower, Teddy Ann Archer, Nancy Call, Linda Jensen, Linda Lindberg, and Sheryl Thurman.Ben Canning, speech director at SVHS, accompanied the group and reported that he felt the students did a fine job at the meet, and that prospects for a fine debate season are very good.
