McDaniel, two and a half miles northeast of -Hobbs, where the couple farmed for a number of years. Cube then.became a field manfor. the Frazier Packing company and for 30 years became widely known through the area as a representative of that firm until it folded during the depression.-He then worked for the Stokely company’ until, retiring about six years ago.The couple raised eight children, seven of whom still reside in the state, li ifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also drop in on•the McDaniel ; apartment when inTipton. She managed to raike her crimson face to look in apparent reproach at the jury box. But no juror looked at her. Again she buried, her head on Reller’s shoulder and he took her in his arms.County attorney Elmer Scheele, who handled the prosecution, had to be summoned to the courthouse from his home before the jury filed out after signalling it had its verdict. The empty courtroom quickly filled with spectators as the word spread..
