50th AnniversaryDmitro and Victoria BurdanyVictoria and Dmitro Bur-deny were honored at a celebration in honor of their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Family, relatives and friends joined them at the Ashville Hall for a supper and social evening on Oct. 7.Seated with the honored couple were one of the original bridesmaids, Mary Lwi-wski (Hnatiuk) and her husband Steve; one of the origi-nal best men, Dmitro Konowalchuk and his wife Pearl; brother of the bride, Steve Stratuliak and his wife Helen; and son-in-law, Leonard Stadnyk, Master of Ceremonies for the evening.The M.C. opened the evening with introductions of the head table. Rose Anne Burdeny said grace. Following the buffet meal, Steve Stratuliak gave a toast to thehonored couple. Florence Burdeny reminisced of some humourous and happy memories of the past 50 years.Dmitro and Victoria were presented with a red roseand best wishes by each of their grandchildren and great grandchildren. An-‘ niversary cake concluded the meal. Dancing and reminiscing were followed by lunch. Music was provided by Peter Nykolaishen.The evening was well attended by family, friends and out of town guests. Several congratulatory notes were received from government dignitaries. Many cards and gifts were received. Numerous family pictures were taken. The memories of that evening will always be trea- : sured.
