However, a publichearing will have to be advertised and held before official rezoning can take place.The board's decision appa ly will clear up a prolonged cussion on the expansion of Cipriani operations in the Cortez area. Members also agreed that non-conforming usage of another section of the Cipriani land could be continued for storage of heavy equipment.Members also acted on the request of Lester Lunberg, Associated Contractor's official, by approving rezoning of 87 acres of Braden River City from A-agriculturai to A-l agricultural. Lunberg indicated that the new zoning was an interim arrangement and that rezoning again will be necessary to bring it into a residential classification. The official said the subject acreage, located immediately west of the Oneco fire tower area, will be developed first while the remaining nine-tenths of the proposed housing subdivision will be built later.PZB members also approved the following: The Lloyd A. and Marie A. Bruce petition to extend non-conforming use by installing electric service to two trailers now located on their property at the southwest corner of V. S. 301 and intersection E of Palmetto:The Gulf Cities Gas Corp. application to erect two 1.000-gallon storage tanks in Bayshore Gardens on a temporary basis until April I, 1900;Glen Bowser and Joseph Tandy's application to erect a seawall on Terra Ceia Bay, and Harmon A. Poray’s request to erect a six by 40-foot boat dock at Palma Sola Park, subject to approval by U. S. Corps ofArmy Engineers and Trustee* erfthe Internal Improvement Board.The group also endorsed the GU zoning of eight blocks of land lying on the north side of Manatee Avenue West from 75th Street to Palma Sola Bay so that a nuhlic park can eventually be established there.
