COUPLE OBSERVE 40TH ANNIVERSARYMr. and Mr*. Wilfrid Girard Tendered Reception]Mr. and Mrs. Wilfrid oirrd of 261 State street* well known local French residents observed the 40th anniversary of their wedding yesterday. 'Hie occ »:on was celebrated last evening wiU a party given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Girard‘s daughter,'Mrs. Rhudy Girard Daniels, of River street. The house was attractively decorated with flowers and cards were played during the evening. The party was given to the guests of honor by their children and was very enjoyable. A bountiful lunch was served by the hostess and Mr. and Mrs. Girard were presented with many gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Girard were the first couple married* In Notre Du me church by the present pastor, Rev. G. H. Jeatmotte. They have seven children, JuUen Girard of Worcester, Mrs, Rhudy Daniels,’ Lawrence W. Girard, Arthur Girard, Mrs. Marie Girard Fallon and Valmore Qirard of thla city amd Charles Girard of Pittsfield.
