A family dinner was served at noon, the only guests besides relatives being the Rev Mr. Curran, pastor of Trinity Methodhst church, Mrs. Curran and Mr. Fred Hunt of Colorado, n the after roon and evening the home was open to all neighbors and friends, a general Invitation having been extended, A number of appropriate gifts expressed the love and esteem of relatives and friends and the bride and bridegroom- of fifty years ago were showered with ; t oncratulations and good a ifthlt;«.f Joseph C, Hukill waa born in Mor*- ton county, Ohio, Jurw 12, 1835. His wife, Mary J. HaU, was born in Till-I cnrawas county, Ohio, May 10, 1840. tj They were married November 10 -1857. They came to Iowa In 1861 and bought land in Iowa county. In 1*0*2 1 Mr. and Mr*. Hukill moved to Mt. Pleasant, Henry county, and four -I years ago they came to Cedar Rapids i and expect to make thia plaoe their i permanent home. They have had five ! children, four eons and one daughter The youngest aon died at the age of -,13. The oldest son, Anson T. Hukill. ; is a well known educator and is superintendent of the West Waterloo * schools. The second eon. Aaron L. , Hukill. is on the old home farm and the daughter, Mrs. Edie Hukill Berry i also lives on the farm. The third sen 1 Rolla C. Hukill, is in Golden, Colo He is chief clerk and bandmaster in the State Industrial echoed and at present is acting superintendent of the 1 school. Mr. and Mrs. Hukill have four 1 grandchildren. Mrs. Mabel Hukill Pop-5 bam, Stanley Hukill, Olin Hukill and Miss I.ena Berry, Therp is also one great-grandchild, Iva Mae ropham.V V V
