Madison. Wis. — (£*) — Ends Farnham Johnson. Menosha, andHenry Olshanski. Wausau, veteran! members of the Wisconsin football squad, have been dropped from! the varsity because of discipline: reasons. Coach Harry Stuhldreherreported today.The coach said the two players.members of the HW2 squad and regulars on the Michigan team in 1943 when they were in marine training, failed to report when the train carrying the Wisconsin team left Ann Arbor Saturday after the game against Michigan.Meanwhile, quarterback JackWink, Milwaukee, was named acting captain for Saturday’s finale against Minnesota. Wink had the same job in the Ohio State and Iowa games.Wisconsin’s hopes for power I against the Gophers looked none too bright because of the growing list of injured and the loss of Johnson and Olshanski. Leg and shoulder injuries bothered tackles Ar-mond Hoehn and Frank Lopp, end Dale Bowers and fullback Earl Maves and their playing status was very much on the doubthful side.
