This venerable couple are perhapB the oldest married couple in Mills county, at leaBt we shall ^ claim for them this distinction until it is refuted by good authority. Mr. and Mrs. Danford have enjoyed wedded life for 59 years, being married in MuBkingum county, Ohio, Aug. 26, 1844. Twelve children have blessed their happy union, all living to a marriageable age. Death has stricken the family but twice, one daughter since marriage having died, and Frank, well known in this part, being struck by lightning in April; 1891. Mr. Danford was 81 years old in June ; and Mrs. Danford four .years younger, F*; she being 77 years old .last August. r 1 Both are hale -and hearty, scarcely feeling the weight of their many years.
