While at work in Itice’s Saw Mill t yard last Saturday morning George W. i Addington was stricken with paralysis | involving almost his entire system. lt;He was entirely unconscious and was i removed to his home and Dr. Markle sent for. It was nearly eighteen hours before he regained consciousness,since which time he has been gradually im- | proving, and is able to set up some. He suffered a stroke about two years ago, which involved his left side rendering his left arm almost useless. It is hoped that he will recover, and be able to attend to business soon, He is one of our best citizens, and being but little past the prime of life in years, our community cannot aford to lose hiih. George was a good soldier during the war, and was blown up ou the ill-fated Sultana as he was on his way home from the rebel prison pens. He received injuries on the head that have given him a great deal of trouble, and it is probable his present condition is caused by that trouble. 1
