Hay girls hold reunionA family reunion of the seven Hay sisters and their mother, Mrs. Grace Hay, took place in Murdo in late October. Mrs. Grace Hay, now 84 years of age, is living at the Platte Nursing Home. She and her husband. Bill Hay, lived for many years in the White River area, where they raised seven daughters. They gathered in Murdo at the home of Mrs. Laura Heyden for a five day reunion, the first time they had all been together in 12 years.Two of the Hay sisters live in Murdo, Mrs. Laura Heyden, and Mrs. Gertrude Hix. The other sisters are Mrs. Blanche Les-meister of Arpin, Wise., who formerly lived at Draper; Mrs. Caroline Sines of San Bernadino, Ca; Mrs. Wilda Hollinger of Burley, Idaho. Mrs. Gracie Gutman of Portland. Ore; and Mrs. Melva Gordon of Miles City, Mont.Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hay sold their property in Mellette County several years ago, and moved to the Platte Nursing Home. While here, the family was active in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and immunity affairs. Many rela-ives and friends attended a gathering at the Heyden home, ncluding Mr. and Mrs. Henry lay of Mission, Charles Wilsey f St. Charles. Dorothy Hunger md daughter of Mission, Mr. and rtrs. Larry Wever (Deloris Hix)f Bell Fourche, and manythers.
