The record of the Klemme family, the members of which are dispersed all over northern Iowa and Dakota, is rather remarkable- The family consist* of the parents and eleven children. There has never been a death in the family. The parents reside at Klrna and will soon celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of their marriage. Among the members of the family of children are H. F. and Christian Klemme and Mrs. O. C. Longley, of Dows, and H. J. Klemme, of Bel mood, H.F. Klemme represented Winneshiek ' county in the lower house of the gen- | eral assembly, for two terms, and made an excellent record. The town of Klemme on the Forest City branch of the Hock Island is named after the family. The male members of the family have shown unusual business talents, and each has acquired a comfortable competence.
