Obituary.Another of of our old time residents must] be recorded among the dead. Nathan Andreas having died at the home of his daughter here this week, on Nov. 13thf aged 78 years.He was born in Pennsylvania in 1828, where he lived 17 years; then in Ohio 24 years; westward to Iowa for 7 years and came to Kansas in 1877, locating on a farm near Walker, in the eastern part of this county. Later, he sold out there and moved to Hays.While in Walker township he was always known as one of their most progressive farmers, and was highly respected here by everybody.His wife died many years ago at theirWalker home and he leaves survivinghim their one son and four daughters who were here at the funeral.The burial took place from the family home in the north part of the city Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Wiest officiating and was largely attended. The floral offerings from sympathizing friends were very beautiful, among them a floral Masonic emblem from the Masons of which Mr. Andreas was a respected member, and a floral anchor from the teachers and school board.Mr. Andreas leaves many friends in Hays and elsewhere who will misd* his ever-cheerful greeting.
