Golden Wedding.A day of feasting to both soul and body, Nov. i*. 18-S7, was the fiftieth anniversary of tlie marriage of Jonathan and Margaret Isenhour, living in the suburbs of AVhitestown. The friends and relatives came together numbering sixty-three, as follows: brothers and sister of Mrs. Isenhour, Rev. W. C. AYhisnanil, of Colgate, 1). T., Rebecca Jones, twin sister of Mrs. Isenh ur, of Bloomington, and John Whisnand and wife, of Bloomington. The children present were Q. T. Isenhour and wife. Geo. Isenhour and wife, John Isenhour and wife, Jas. Isenhour and wife, AY in. Isenhour and wife, John Day and wife, nineteen grand children and three great-grand childrenjinaking in all lifty-lour of the relatives, and nine of the neighbors and friends. The children and friends had not neglected to make the necessary arrangements to give and expression of their love and respect for their parents, brother and sister. They had secured an easy chair for each of them, a pair of gold spectacles for Mr. Isenhour and a gold ring for Mrs. Isenhour, which Rev. L. II. Hurt presented, in behalf of the donors, in a well timed address consisting of well chose words and impressive thoughts, after which Rev. AY. (\ AVhisnand made some very impressive remarks and touching allusions to some of the friends that were not permitted to be present and some that-had crossed the River of Death.” At the close of his remarks the assembly all bowed in prayer led by Rev. Hurt, alter which Newton Ilazelrigg and wife presented Airs. Isenhour with a beautiful gold thimble. Then the assembly was invited to walk into the dining room where the display of the good things of the land was one not to be forgotten soon. AYe sat down, not in fifties but as many as could be seated, at the table and others looking on impatient for the time to be when there would be time for them. AVell we did all eat and were filled and there were seven baskets full of fragments left. After a few hours of pleasant converse and exchange of thoughts and many blessing passed on Mr. and Mrs. Isenhov-r, the happy company took their departure for their respective homes, wishing to be invited to such anniversaries often.
