Brown has cranked up its offense and defense to reach the playoffs for the fifth time in the last eight years.The Kittens totalled 188 yards rushing, 78 yards passing, and 11 first downs against favored St. Mary’s,Alma J. Brown scared its touchdowns on a 38-yard pais from quarterback Michael StamUfer to running back Robert Wiley and on a 10-yard from wingback Patrick Pierce.Brown, who has rushed for a team best 1,087 yards this year, finished with 54 yards on 19 carries and Pierce had a game leading 74 yards with 17 assignments.Standifer, who*s beensuper as a punter this year, completed six of 11 passes for 78 yards and had four of those tosses to go to senior tight end Patrick LeBlanc for 45 yards.“We got a good effort from our players, ” said Cowan, “and it just paid off when it counted, ”The Kittens face the state’s No. 3 ranked Class A team in Mangham, which lost to AJB in the playoffs last year when they were rated No. 8.W.P.
