Vo-Tech Expands; New Additions, New CoursesRecently, the community was given the opportunity to view the new additions to the Chillicothe Area Vo-Tech School.The additions include four classrooms, four shops, three offices, and a large storage facility. Besides these, offices for tie Board of Education4;len Returnalong with the number of people showing up for the matches has helped.’’The 1973 wrestling seasonO par * nn rVnn awere ouilt along the southwest part of the building.The main addition, which was started in September of 1972, added 21,500 square feet, nearly doubling the existing 30,500 square foot building. Irvinbilt Company of Chillicothe completed the work In May of this year. Hugh J. Hamlin, of Northern and Hamlin of Kansas City, Mo. did the designing. The total cost of the building, architect, ar.d equipment was $330,617.39.This summer work was started on the Board of Education offices and the storage facility; this work was just completed and the Board of Education moved into theiroffices on Oct. 18. The general Contractor on the 2,1780 square foot. S34.935 addition was Le Blanc Construction Company of Trenton.Le Blanc also contracted the storage buildir?. This facility on the west side of the building will be utilized for storing equipment for the shops, is 7,596 sq. ft in size and cost $27,335.This year there are 12 programs offered at the Vo-Tech school. Auto Body Repair and Vocational Agriculture are new courses, although the high school previously offered the Ag program.Total day enrollment is 403, with 268 of those coming fromCHS. Other students come from Hale, Wheeling, Trenton, Hamilton, Southwest, Braymer, and Breckenridge, besides the post-graduate students from around the area. Three hundred ninety-eight students are also enrolled in the 26 night courses the school offers.Students Take TestsCounselors have been busy the past month and will continue to be busy the remainder of the year as tests
