Golden Wedding AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Stan McFad-den celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on Sun day, November 12th. They are lifelong residents of the Glenboro district.Stan McFadden is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo McFadden and Etta Brown is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Brown. They were married at the bride’s home on January' 10th, 1923. They farmed on the McFadden farm, west of Glenboro for 25 years and then moved into town when their son Calvin took over the farm. Mr. and Mrs. Me* Fadden have one son, Calvin of Calgary, three grandchild ren and 2 great grandchildren.Mr. and Mrs. McFadden continue to have an active inter est in the affairs of the com munity. Stan is a member of the men's afternoon curlingclub.The McFadden’s were very-pleased to have over 185 friends, relatives and neighbors attend their Come Sc Go Tea,held on Sunday afternoon in the l.O.O.F. Hall, catered to by the Rebekahs. They were the recipients of many cards, gifts and flowers. Among the messages of congratulations were those received from the Gov. - General R. Michener, Prime Minister P.E. Trudeau. Hon. R. Stanfield, S. Spivak, J. Murta and E. McKellar.A family dinner was held at the Manor on Sunday evening for family members. Those attending from a distance included Mr. and Mrs. Calvin McFadden and Brad of Calgary, Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Steeves family of Rocky Mountain House, Mrs. Rosco Williams of Wallace, Idaho. Mr. and Mrs. Calverley McFadden of Saskatoon. Mr. Sc Mrs. Terry McFadden son, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sparks, Mrs. Elsie Roper, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Melstead and Jim, Mr. and Mrs. Jack McFadden and girls, and Mr. and Mrs. Stan McFadden and Michael, all of Winnipeg, and Mr. and Mrs. James Jefferies of MacGregor, Manitoba
