Coffee and doughnuts will be served all afternoon from 1 to 5 p.m., by the Band Mothers and special displays and exhibits will be shown in the basement rooms.A preview of the big structure was afforded our local business men following a dinner given to the Eusiness Men’s Club Monday evening. The Elevator Constructors of Minneapolis who had the largest contract for the building is a subsidiary of the Fegle Construction Company who have built some of America’s largest buildings including the 5 million bushel elevator of the Farmers Grain Dealers Association near Des Moines. The same company built this year at Webster City,I Spencer, Eagle Grove and Story | City similiar buildings to the one here and .these five are among the largest in the state.Captions under some of the pictures in this issue of the Tribune tell much of the story of this gigantic project but they cannot nor do not tell all the planning, sweating and thinking that goes into the erection of a structure of this type. The bins proper are 117 feet high on the inside
