*Wed 50 years, Mr: and Mrs. Ed Brown of 813 Brown str.eet were honored by their children and grandchildren at an openhouse Monday afternoon, held in the fellowship hall of the First United Methodist church.Mrs, Brown, the former Cora Hill, and her husband were married Nov. 5, 1919 in the First Christian church parsonage. The couple have farmed most of their married lives in Morgan and Washington township and have lived in Valparaiso the past 15 years.They are the parents of Mrs. William (Mary) Snook, Morgan Twp_, Donald of RFD 3, Mrs. James (Dorothy) Spratley and Mrs. Wolfgang (Betty) Pflughaupt, both of Valparaiso. They have 10 grmidchildren.The anniversary of their daughter Betty was also celebrated that. day.Mrs. Leroy Hershman of Wheatfield baked the three-tiered .wedding cake which was served hv the-couple’s grandchildren. Guests came from Chicago, HI., South Bend, Chesterton, Westville Wanatah, Wheatfield, Kingsford Heights and Valparaiso.
