Thecouple received many nice gifts, especially suited to the newer home they are building, in the Lone Star neighborhood.Mr. and Mrs. Vanbebber were married by David Darlington at the home t Miss Alma Dille now Blrkenbile),in Montague on November 12, 1944, Mr. Vanbebber thereafter enlist?d in the ArmedServices, and Mrs. Vanbebberthe former Miss Alta Jean Cornelison, remained with the couple’s in Montague County. At the timn of the birth ofBarbara, Mr. Vanbebber was stationed at Tacoma, Washington, and did not see his diughter until she was three months old and he came homeon furlough. She was ten months of age wh n he was released from the Army.Mr. and Mrs. Vanbebber are the parents ofthr^echil i-ren, two daughters, Barbara Hudson, the mother of Sherrill, four years old, Miss Ja-lind* Vanbebber of the home,and son, James ind wife Brenda, parents of two sons, one only a month old.The \ anbebbers have steadfastly maintained that The raising of children is a 24-hour-a-day job! And theyhave followed through on that motto as illustrated by the fact that all three of their children have been winners in 4-H :iub work all the way from the loca 1 club level through the District and (he'date. I he Vanbebber familyis unusual In the State of Texas that both their daughters and their son have won the Gold Star Award, the highest award given in 4-H in the State of Texas. They have won many other awards besides, such as trips to the Camp at Trinidad, Farm Bureau ( itizonship Seminar andmany others.Both Mr. and Mrs. Vanbebber are assistants in 4-H:iub work and Mr. Vanbebber received an award at College Station as one of the 22 menin the State to receive an award 'or his work in 4-HI heir 16-year-old diughter,Jalinda is a junior in the BowieHigh School.o*
