The long* awaited Thanksgiving furlough will begin next week. The furlough will start officially at 4:00 P. M., Wednesday, November 19, and will continue till 9:00 P. M., Sunday, November 23. That will allow four full days of vacation in the clear, and it is certain that nearly all cadets will go home. Schedules and tickets arealready being arranged.*The few cadets who will remain9here will be in uniform but they will be excused from all duties, and even meals if they wish it. They will have much freedom and will perhaps take several trips to St. Louis.9This is the first Thanksgiving furlough that Western has had in many a year. Heretofore, it was the custom to meet Alton High in football on Turkey Day, but that series of games ended last fall. After Thanksgiving, there will be a steady drive until Christmas.
