ORWIG :65TH ANNIVERSARYMr. and Mrs. Alvin Orwig, 6169 County Road 219, Bellevue, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at McClain’s Restaurant, Bellevue.The couple was married Oct. 26, 1935, in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, by the Rev. Firestone.Mr. and Mrs. Orwig are the parents of Carol J. Hoffman and Roger Orwig, both of Bellevue, Nelson Orwig of Lawrence, Kan., and Wesley Orwig of El Paso, Texas. They have nine grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and 15step-great-grandchildren.Mr. Orwig is retired from Bellevue ManufacturingCo., and Mrs. Orwig is a homemaker.
