Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Irvine Honoured on RetirementAbout thirty five co-workers and friends of Mr. and Mr; M. J. Irvine gathered at the Irvine home on November 1st to bid farewell to the couple on the eve of his retirement from active service with the CanadianNational Rail ways as section foreman.Mr. Irvine has completed 37 years with the rail w a y of which 29 years were spent as section foreman.Mr. A. Lang Division Engineer, made the presentation of an oil painting, the work of E. Abraham, a local section man; and a purse of money with the besl wishes of all concerned.Mr G. T Tolley, on behalf of Grand Lodge Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees. presented Mr. Irvine with a long service union button The evening was spent in playing games and lunch was served by the ladies. The event closed with singing For thej |are Jolly Good Fellows, a nil Auld Lang Syne.Attending from Prince A1 bort were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Irvine. Mr. and Mrs. J. Beddonte, Mr. and Mrs. A.
