4A-THE COURIER-INDEX, Thurs., Nov. 10, 1983Mr. and Mrs. Bill LovelaceLovelaces celebrate 50th anniversaryMr. and Mrs. Bill Lovelace of Rondo celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 5, with an Open House at the American Legion Hut. The affair was hosted by five of the their six children: Alvin Lovelace, AudreyMooneyhan, Ruben Lovelace, Betty Sullivan and Mrs. Butch Jackson. The men were assisted by their wives. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lovelace were unable toattend.The Lovelaces were married on Nov. 4, 19:13, at County Line Church at Big Creek by the Rev. Eugene Davis.The Legion Hut was decorated throughout with yellow and gold streamers and refreshments were served from three tables. The anniversary cake was centered on a white covered table, decorated with yellow and white flowers. It was served by two of the daughters, Ms. Mooneyhan and Ms. Sullivan.Serving the sparkling punch was Miss Linda Lovelace and Miss Julie Lovelace invited guests to the thirdtable where a variety of cheeseball.nuts and other snacks were served. She also invited guests to sign the guest book and to admire the huge array ofitems on the gift table.Special guests were Mrs. Lovelace’sbrother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Jackson of Forrest City and Mr. Lovelace’s sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Caplener of Hernando, Miss.Relatives and friends helping to celebrate the occasion included: Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hudson, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Benham, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Jones and Miss Nettie Davis all of Marianna; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson, Franklin and Odessa Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Eakins and Martha Adkins of Forrest City; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Watkins of Osceola; Linda Wed-dington and Mrs. and Mrs. G. Gray ofWest Memphis; Willie Ballentine, Mr. and Mrs. Billy Griffith and Mrs. Betty Griffith of Rondo and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jackson of Palestine.Eleven of their 16 grandchildren and one of their five great grandchildren attended.
