*0*s\!MARRIED 50 YEARS — Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Valind, who were marrjed Nov. 15. 1904, at St. Anne's Church in Escanaba. are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this coming weekend. Valind, 14111st Ave. N., residents of Escanaba over a half century, are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary Saturday, Nov. 13.The festivities of the day will open with a High Mass of Thanks* giving at 9 a. m. at St. Joseph’s Church. A family breakfast will follow at the home of their daughter. Mrs. Willard Severensen at Hyde, and open house will be held at the U. C. T. Club from 3 to 9 p. HUMr. and Mrs Valind will have their entire family with them for the occasion as well as their attendants at the wedding 50 years ago, Mr. Valind’s brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs, Napoleon Valind of Gladstone.The Valinds were married Nov. 15. 1904. at St. Anne's Church in Escanaba. Father Menard performing the ceremony. Mrs. Val-ind. who is 74, was born ui Nc-gaunee, and Mr. Valind who is 81 was born in DePere. Wis.The wedding invitation of 50 years ago, reads: “Mr. and Mrs. John Moran request the honor m your presence at the marriage ceremony of their daughter, Nellis Sophie, to Joseph C. Valind Tuesday morning, November 15. 1904, at 8 o'clock at St. Anne’s Church in Escanaba, Michigan. And to one side. *‘At home at 1717 Thomas St. after Nov. 29 ” The address is just two doors fromtheir present home.Their family includes four sons, Norbert. Albert. Merle and Mark of Escanaba, and the one daughter. Mrs. Severensen. the formerMildred Valind, 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
