Hr early decided that it was time to make another move and hebecame assistant treasurer of the Bessemer Gas Engineering Company in Grove City in 1908 After six years, he pulled stakes and came to Bradford where hisIMtth and that ol Mr. Zook crcs.'ed. They foimed the Kare Gasoline Company at Kane to manufactureUNDERSTANDINGcaso!.u„ front natural gas. They next acquired t he Warren Gasoline Company at Eldred for the .'»mo purpose and at this time entered the oil producing business by purchase of some property in the Kant*field.In 1917. the two partners formed the Sloan and Zook Company They conducted a general oil brokerage and gasoline business until 1929. They then acquired ell properties m the Duke Centei area and began an exparsion which led to the Sloanand Zook Producing Company and other. They also operated the Sloanand Zook refinery at Warren for a number cf yeaivExtended HoldingsMore recently, they extended theirholdings to include producing properties in Kansas, Oklahoma. Texas and Louisiana.Mr Sloan is survived by hiswidow, Mrs. Ida M Slcan; a daughter. Mrs Harry Ward Tyler of SouthEaston. Ma.-s.: three grandsonsWilliam Sloan Tyler.
