HERAT.TVTIMESIs 76 Years OldCelebrate‘ Grandma ' Anna Carstens, whose ill health prevents her from taking part in more than just a few celebrations, joined her children and her grandchildren at dinner on the occasion of her 76th birthday recently. The dinner was at the home of “Grandma's” son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rodewald of Rap'ds, with whom she lives.Her children, who were at the affair, were Mrs. Rodewald, Herman, Edwin. Williiam, and Carl Carstens. and Mrs. Oscar Fck, Her grandchildren also were with her at the dinner party. Later in the afternoon, and for supper, more friends joined the celebrant.All of the guests were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rodewald, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Carstens and son Donald, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Carstens, Mr. and Mrs. William Carstens, Leonard, Alice and Virginia Carstens. Mrs. Oscar Fick and son Oscar, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carstens and son Kenneth, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Alfson. Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Sorv-nenburg and daughters Merkin and Arltle. Dr. Philip Koehler at the St. Peter's Lutheranchurch on November 8, 1884.For 30 years after their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Kiel lived on a f,v i near the village of Mishicot. In 1914 they moved to Mam-tc \ic. where they have been living since. Fifty delegates from Sheboygan, Waldo, Plymouth, Sheboygan Falls, Chilton, West Allis and Brillion were present.The afternoon meeting began at 2:30 p.m., and was conducted by the district president. Mrs, Alice Larson of Chilton. The state assembly vice president, Mrs. Frank Roll of West Allis was welcomed and introduced to the members, and she gave an address.The following program was presented in the afternoon; Tribute to Our Flag, by Mrs. J. Wlghtman of Plymouth; an address of welcome, by Mrs. Max Schuler; response by Miss Grace Wilkerson of Sheboygan; roll call of all past presidents of the district was taken and each responded with a quotation; the Brillion deputy, Mrs. Pet er Hansen presented each district and state officer with a gift.Brillion was awarded the trophy for having the largest number of members present. After the after noon meeting was adjourned, sup per was served at six o’clock.In the evening a short business session was held and then games of shecphead. five hundred andbridge were played.
