Sarah Hagans of Wilson celebrated her 100th birthday Nov. 4. She was born Nov. 4,1916, in Wayne County. She was educated in Wayne County schools. She worked as a babysitter. She was married to the late Ervin Artis, and they had five children. Then she married the late Henry Hagans. She has 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She has enjoyed fishing, cooking, family life and church.
