Dorothy RappeneckerDorothy Louise Rappenecker, 85, of Sperry died We d nesday, Nov. 5, 2008, at Great RiverMedical Centerin WestBurlington.Born Sept. 20, 1923, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Ralph E. and Agnes M. Beckman Stout. On Feb. 26, 1949, she married Phillip E. Rappenecker in Burlington.Mrs. Rappenecker was a homemaker and ran a dairy farm with her husband. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Society in Dodgeville. She w as a member of Golden Age Club. She enjoyed baking pies.Survivors include her husband; four sons, Thomas Rappenecker of Sperry, Rick Rappenecker of Mediapolis, Bob Rappenecker of New London and Kevin Rappenecker of Crawfordsville; four daughters, Luann McLaughlin of Fort Collins, Colo., Cindy Walker of West Burlington, Connie Bloom of Burlington and Jackie Myers of Plano, Texas; 24 grandchildren; eight greatgrandchildren; one sister, Frances Metier of Dodgeville; nieces and nephewrs.She was preceded in death by one daughter, her parents and two sisters.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dodgeville where family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.. with a 5 p.m. rosary.The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Rappenecker will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dodgeville with the Rev. David Steinle officiating. Burial will 'be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dodgeville.Memorials have been established for Notre Dame High School and The Patty But toll Scholarship and Teacher Fund.
