MR.WILL ATTEND CONVENTION — Miss Ruby Ann Howell, 217 North 35th Ave, will leave Monday via Delta Airlines for Cleveland, where she will attend the American Speech and Hearing Convention in conjunction with the meeting of Sigma Alpha Eta, Nov. 10-13. McElhaney are observing their golden wedding anniversary today at their home, 503 West Laurel Ave. A family open house is being held this afternoon.Mrs. McElhaney is the former Anna Pearl Myers, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W, A. Myers of Hattiesburg. The Myers family moved here in 1905 from Johnson City, Tenn.Mr. McElhaney is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Floyd McElhaney of Hattiesburg. He wasEKilled WhenSmashed ByThree Vehiclesborn in Chicago and moved here with his family in 1901 from Haz-elhurst.Mr. and Mrs. McElhaney were married Nov. 7f 1909 in EHisville. They have been members of Court Street Methodist Church all their married life. He is chairman of the board of G. H, McElhaney and Sons. All six of his children are active in the business that was founded by Mr. McElhaney and his sons in 1928,Their children are Hugh A. McElhaney, 506 South Ford Drive, N Petal; Joe H. McElhaney, 402 Tenth Ave; Mrs. Henry C. Lewis,218 North 23rd Ave; John D. McElhaney, 316 George St, Petal; Michael J. McElhaney, 507 West Laurel Ave, and Walter S. McElhaney t Montague Blvd. They also have 14 grandchildren.
