Council-ManagerShall this city charter ordinance be adopted: *‘A charter ordinance to reorganize the government of the city ofMadison, under Chapter 62 and Section64.14 of the Wisconsin Statutes of 1947and acts amendatory thereof, providing for the return to the city mayor andaldermanic plan.“The city council of the city of Madison do ordain as foUows:Ml. That the government of the cityof Madison be and hereby is reorganized under Chapter 62 and sections 64 14, 66.01 and 10 43 of the WisconsinStatutes of 1947 and acts amtndatorythereof, providing for the city mayorand aldermanic plan, with a common council composed of 20 aldermen, onefrom each ward, said mayor and alderman to be elected for the term of twoyears.“2. The election of officers under the form of government so adopted shallbe held as provided by law upon the first Tuesday in April next succeeding the adoption of this charter ordinance.“3 This ordinance shall take effectand be in force as prescribed by law.”
