• ft 0 •Walker* Wood bury.A number of Joplin people will attend the marriage of Miss Ruth Walker, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs; J. Frank Walker and Harold Hicks Woodbury, which takes place at St. Paul's Episcopal church at Mansa* City Wednesday night at 8. o’clock. The Walkers formerly lived at Jopltn, moving to Kansas City five years ugo. They still retain their summer home at Sagmount, south of Joplin. Miss Walker was prominent in younger sooiety Jhere, and attended Joplin high school. She has completed her education at Miss Harstowe's school at Kansas City, at the KansasUni varsity, and Briar Cliff IManor, on the Hudson. While at the] university at Lawrence, Kan., she metj Mr. Woodbury, then a student in. the law school. Mrs. Karl Carter Estes of Chicago, nee Miss la* ClalroRogers of Joplin, and Mrs. Frank Woodbury of aKnsas City will be. Miss Walker's matrons of honor. The bridesmaids are Kansas City girls, Miss Mary Cruse, Miss Maude Grounds and Miss Frances Meser-vey. Charles Putman Woodbury, a brother of the groom, will be best man, and the groomsmen are Frans and Thomas Woodbury, brothers of the groom, and William Wallace, Jr. The Rev. Mr. Ritchey of St. Paul's church will read the Episcopal mar rlage service. Miss Elizabeth Kberl.v of Joplin will sing Oh. Perfect Love'' and “Love's Coronation,” preceding the ceremony. Mr. Woodbury willtake his bride for a honeymoon tour of three weeks, and on returning they will reside with Mr. and Mrs. Walker, at 36 4 7 Harrison Boulevarj, until spring. Mr. Woodbury is a member of the firm of Woodbury*McGarvey-Woodbury, attorneys, and of a prominent Kansas City family. Among the wedding guests from Joplin will be Messrs. and Mmes. A. H. Waite, W. F. Bohne, J. E. Qarm, B. L. I*ove, 11. S. Wherritt, W. J. Rueh and Miss Kberly. Most of the women are going to Kansas City today and their husbands will follow Tuesday.• • • •
