Iberia resident dies at hospitalYager E. Deardeuff, 76, of Iberia, died Saturday evening at Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Waynesville. Mr. Deardeuff was a farmer and a lifelong resident of the Miller and Pulaski counties area.Mr. Deardeuff was bom Nov. 12, 1897, in Crocker, the son of Theodore and Etta Prater Deardeuff He was married Sept. 5,1921, to Ethel Shelton, who died Nov. 24, 1968. On Sept. 20, 1969, he was married to Mrs. Marshia Humphrey, who survives.He was a member of the Iberia Church of the Nazarene.Other survivors include: Four sons, Vemie Deardeuff, Oak Harbor, Wash., Ralph Deardeuff and Gene Dear deuff, both of Cottage Hills, 111., and Bill Deardeuff, Crocker; and two daughters, Mrs. Marie Albl, Edward-sville, 111., and Mrs. Louise Long, Maro, 111.Five brothers, Clarence Deardeuff, Oklahoma City, Okla., Leslie Deardeuff, San Diego, Calif., Lloyd Deardeuff, Kansas City, and Red us Deardeuff, Bakersfield, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Peck, Richland, Wash., and Mrs. Lena Wolff, Clinton.Four stepsons, Carl Shepherd, Dixon, and LeMoin Shepherd and Leman Shepherd, both of Wentzville; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Katherine Humphrey, Dixon; 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at the StevinsonChapel in Iberia, with the Rev. Gary Gulley officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery near Crocker.
