12 POLLINGPLACES ARE READYWith a heavy vote expected to be polled in Laredo and the outlying precincts of Webl county in the general election Tuesday as a result of thn hot presidential race, the Independent Club of Webb county is planning to get out its full force of workers and doing their bit for the Democratic nominesr, from presidential electors, down to and including constables.While a heavy vote is expected for Willkie in Laredo and Webb county, local politicians predict that the Democratic ticket will carry here by an overwhelming majority, and to increase this majority to the full extent the powerful Independent Club will work untiringly for the Democratic nominees No contests for state, district, county or precinct offices is on in Webb county and the whole interest centers on the presidential rontest.The polls in the 12 precincts of Laredo and Webb county will open promptly at 8 o’clock Tuesday morn-(Continued on Page 9.)
