rCOLORED RESIDENT OFTHIS CITY EXPIRESMrs. Altheada Mitchell, wife of Henry Mitchell, colored resident of this city died at her home at 417 E. Park Street at 8:35 o’clock yesterday morning. Death followed an illness of three months and was attributed to complications.Mrs. Mitchell was born in Collinsville on May 3, 189G. She moved to Edwardsvillo 2 3 years ago and has lived here since. She married Henry Mitchell in February, 1916.She is survived by her husband; six children, Russell, Myrtle, Doris, Louise, Thomas and Geraldine Mitchell all of this city; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Alondo Mitchell of this city; four sisters, Mrs. Cora Smith and Mrs. Robert Ward of St. Louis and Mrs. Nathan Stanley and Mrs. Clarence Shaw of this city; two brothers, Alfred Mitchell of this city and Joseph Mitchell of St. Louis.Funeral services at the residence at 1:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon will be followed with service at the A. M. E. Church at 2 o’clock. Burial will be made at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
