IC‘in#rhecs-II:a-1 enid-edMr, and Mrs. Jesse Hale, ofLinneus, quietly observed theirsixtieth wedding anniversary at their home Sunday, October 28th.Because of the frail health of Mr. Hale their two daughters, Mrs. Ley Harvey, of Linneus, and Mrs. Marjorie Murrain, of Burdin, were the only guests at a dinner Sunday noon. Mrs. Murrain had baked a large cake and decorated it in keeping with the occassion. Other members of the immediate family called throughout the day. Friends and neighbors sent cards, gifts and flowers.Beside the two daughters, the Hales have two granddaughters, Anelia Murrain and Mrs, Elaine McClaskey, the grandson, Ken- J neth Harvey, having passed away June 26th, and eight greatgrandchildren.Mr. Hale operated a farm five miles northwest of Linneus until he retired and moved to theirC' t- * ^ : * • I • *v* ~• «lt;lt;8^ apresent home.The following is a copy of a clipping describing the wedding. Miss Anna is one of Grantsville’s most popular young ladies, the only daughter of James W. and Alice Dodge. Mr. Hale is 4 young man of sterling worth and well known in Linn County, the son of C. J. Hale, all of Grants*? ville township. Some 60 of their friends being present, the occassion was a very pleasant one for all. The happy couple entered the parlor at 2:30, supported byJames Sayers of Jackson, as best man. and Miss Cora Adams as bridesmaid. After the marriage ceremony was pronounced, and the congratulations of their many friends, the door of the dining room was thrown open, and, withthe Elder in the lead, the bridal party was seated, and we partook orf a dinner that may have its aqual but never its superior. After dinner, came music on the organ, with some splendkl vocal mtusic.
