The fun began when the small guests were greeted at the door by a tall ghost who made them welcome with an lev handclasp and mounted higher and higher as they enjoyed the various Hallowe'en games and stunts.Before an open fire in the darkened library fortunes were told and Mrs. Deering read James Whitetmb Riley’s Little Orphan Ai.r«ie.” A feature of the evening was the chamber of horroio presided over by the tali ghost. After this ghastly inspection the old witch’s broom was found to consist of many and varied noisy favors which were strenuously employed in the grand unroll to the Hallowe'en feast. V hen the masks were removed prizes w'ere iwarded for the prettiest and most*--couii' iil costume.
