Probably next spring when the rush of work comes these farmers will have forgotten how glad they were in the fall and wish tnere would have been no intermission then. But such is many a farmers’ life.On Sunday we enjoyed the hospital-i ity of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Baumgartner, of near Martin's church, when alltheir children and their families in this part of the country assembled for a family reunion. There were also present the Misses Elmira and MaryBaumgartner (daughters of Solomon Baumgartner, of Pandora). These young ladies are teachers in the Alliance public schools; they were takendown with the.“flu” and taken to the hospital. Recovering from this disease* the doctor told them to take a good rest and eat a plenty, and they concluded among relatives in the country would be more congenial gTound for “eats” than in the city, so as son as j they could stand the trip they hastened away and are now welcome visitors here. Mr. and Mrs. Baumgartner, aged 82 and 75 years, respectively, have lived together 55 years and are still enjoying fairly good health and mental faculties.S'A.1
