Mitchell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Mitchell, of Woodlyn, was solemnized Satur-: day, May 24, at 4 o’clock, in the! Providence Avenue Methodist ^Church, Th» ceremony was performed by th« pastor, Rev, William H. And erman.Th* brid*, who was given in marring* by her uncle, William T. Bchmuff, of Baltimore, Md., wore a gown of white slipper satin, made with a yoke of chiffon illusion joined to the bodice with a wide bertha ruffling of chaatilly lace. The fitted bodice was shirred into a double bustle, edged in chantilly lace, and the full skirt ended in a long train. Over her wrists fell double cuffs of chantiily lace. Her scalloped veil of French tulle fell from a Mary-Queen-of-Scots cap of seed pearls. Showers of white satin ribbon knot-led with lilies of the valley fell: from her old-fashioned bouquet of j white rosebuds and carnations, centered with white orchids.Miss Catherine H. Harkness, who was maid of honor, wore a gown of rose-orchid net over satin, fashioned with a shirred shoulder-line forming a .square neckline. A double row of in;*, ruffling joined the fitted bodice! to the full skin. Her headdress \vas: made of pink roses, daisies and sweetpeas, and she carried an old-fashioned shower bouquet of pink rose buds, carnations and baby orchid*.Society of that institution, and is a member of the hoard of directors of the Wallingford Memorial Library.magenta, a matching flower hat of magenta, and opera - length gloves.
