Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Beintema who lives 2 and one half miles south of Otley celebrated their golden Wedding Anniversary Thursday May 22, 1930 with their children and families' gathered in a big family reunion. I I hey were married in Holland and came here to live having resided near Knoxville, Monroe and Pella and in the state of Mississippi, They have lived at the present locat.on more than 35 years:. Their fairnily of children and their address follow:Arie and Mindrpt at home, Mrs. 13.1 KJyn Cordova, Mrs. Jess Van Loon, Columbia, Mrs. H. Marinus Runnells and Mrs. F. o. Davis, Knoxville. |Everyone brought well filled baskets and enjoyed a big dinner served cafeteria style. Then old times were talked over and many pictures taken. The couple were presented with two beautiful reed rockers. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Bartis Klyn and children Gerrit, Edward, Arie, Agnes and Angie of Cordova; Mr. and Mrs Jess Van Loon and children Wilma, arion, Dorothy and Helen of Columbia; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Marinus and children Gladys, Wayne and Ida of Runnel Is; Mr. and Mrs. Evert VanVeldhuizen, Oskaloosa; Mr .and Mrs. John Buwakla, Cordova, Rena Van Eck, Otley; Mrs. John Bloem and Peter Bloem of Pella; Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Trusler; Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Johnston: Mrs. J. A. Suman and Maxinp. Mrs. H. H. Witner and Jean and Peter Beintema, all of Newton.
