BAKER BUSSLARIZED.A Thr#e Hundred Dollar Havl atMonrooyille—fcapture of tfco Burglars.On Saturday nigbt burglars effected an entrance into the store of W. D. Baker, at Monroeville, and made a haul of about $300 worth of clothiog and piece goods, and $4 or $5 in nickels. Constable Long, of Monroeville, upon being informed of the burglary, at once suspected two broth* era named Wallace, living two miles from that place, and yesterday morning went to their house and arrested them. They promptly confessed the crime and showed where $200 worth of the booty was secreted near a railroad bridge. They also staled that two men named JonathanAWHandfand Will Wallace were connected with the affair, and that Hand was thought to have come to Fort Wayne. The officer telegraphed a description of Hand to Sheriff Munson, who gobbled him in at the south depot this morning. He wore a pair of new pantaloons, and had in his possession three augurs, two silver watches, two new coats, a vest, a scarf, a handkerchief, a quantity of clothing and a lot qf nickels. Constable Long came to the city this morning and re* turned to Monroeville with Hand. He aod the two Wallaces have their preliminary examinations at Monroeville this afternoon and will of course be bound over to the criminal court* Will Wallace is believed to be at or near La* grange, and will probably be arrested to day. This is a quick piece of work all around and reflects much credit uponthe officers who displayed so Enoch vign laoce.LA TEH.Since the above was written information is received of the arrest of “Bill” Wain lace in the woods near Monroeville about II o'clock this morning, with the balance of the plunder in Mb possession. It is believed that these four men have committed a number of burglaries recently. They will no doubt be railroaded to the penitentiary.
