Beckley. currently mathematically eliminated from state title consideration, has three points and only one person — Bill Jones — in semifinal action.All of the Beckley boys team waseliminated in the first round with the exception of Jones and Rob Anderson. Anderson, however, fell in the second round to Mark Goldfarb of George Washington, 9-7. „“I can't say what happened;” Hill said, “but it knocked me for a loop when (Tom) Elkin was beaten, 8 - 0, in the first round.“That (the girls’ good fortune and the boys’ poor fortune) is just momentum.” Hill said: “The girls came in here and started off good and the boys didn’t.
