Komarno Couple HonoredOn 25th AnniversaryBy Walter RomanchukA host of friends and relatives gathered at the Gunton Memorial Hall on the evening of May 11th to tender hearty felicitations to Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tymchen o f Komarno on the occasion oftheir 25th wedding annivers*beautiful chest of silver service for eight from then immediate family and a purse of money on behalf of the gathering.yin 1 hedBestt thearyUpon arriving at the hall the honored guests were greeted with a ‘shower o f confetti and while the orchestra played “The Wedding March,” their daughter Shirley pinned corsages on them. They were then esc codtrl They were then escorted to the head table centered by a beautiful three-tiered wedding cake.Seated with the honored couple were their attendants Mrs Kay Monaster and Mr, Pete Moscall of Komarno and Mrs. Phyllis Trach and Mr.John Trach of Winnipeg.Mr, Pete Moscall proposed the toast and the wedding cake which adorned the table was cut by Mrs. Kay Monaster.A delicious lunch and refreshments were enjoyed bythe assembled guests. This was followed by a pleasant evening of dancing, happy reunion and sing-songsAt the height of the partyMr. Alex Monaster who was master of ceremonies gave a delightful speech in Ukrainian and wished the couple many years of ^continued goodhealth and happiness. Teulon as well asKomarno.Mr. and Mrs, Tymchen were married in 1938 at OurLady of The Lake Church,Winnipeg Beach. They went as newly-weds to Saskatchewan where they spent two years.
